Microsoft achieved record sales, sold nearly 4 million Xbox One

Microsoft profits earned 6.56 billion dollars in the quarter, on revenue of 24.52 billion record.

Microsoft recently announced business results for the second quarter of fiscal 2014 of them. Accordingly, Microsoft earned profits (net income) 6.56 billion in the quarter, on revenue of 24.52 billion record. The company's revenue increased 14% compared to the same period last year, while profit increased 2.8%.


The PC market was gloomy array affect Microsoft's Windows OS . Revenue from sales to the OEM Windows license fell 3 % in the quarter . Nokia reach 8.2 million Lumia sales in the quarter ( initially withholding information about the Nokia Lumia sales but then announced specific ) and this brings good news for Microsoft's Windows Phone in the array . Windows Phone revenue increased 50 % , in which money from sales rose to copyright and what Microsoft calls " the telephone patent ."
Array of online office applications Office 365 Home Premium growth also achieved encouraging. As of the second quarter , the number of people using the service has increased to 3.5 million .
In the hardware segment , Microsoft announced sold 3.9 million Xbox One to retail channels . ( Microsoft previously announced sold 3 million units but the number of machines to consumers ) . Microsoft sold 3.5 million Xbox 360 consoles in the quarter . 2 Surface and Surface Pro 2 is on sale in the second quarter , but Microsoft has not announced sales of 2 specific products . The company only said that revenue from the Surface in the second quarter more than doubled compared to the first quarter , from $ 400 million to 893 million.
