Apple accept to Amazon use the brand App Store

Amazon Inc. and Apple have come to an agreement to end lawsuit over ownership brand "App Store", paving the way for the general use of App Store name the two companies.

 Amazon Inc. and Apple have come to an agreement to end lawsuit over ownership brand "App Store", paving the way for the general use of App Store name the two companies.

Last Tuesday, Judge Phyllis Hamilto has denied any litigation over brand "App Store" between the two companies Apple and Amazon because Apple has sent an application and agreement not to pursue this litigation. This also means that Amazon does not need to "claim" a right to use the apple brand for its app store.

Apple began selling its app store App Store from October through 7/2008. Then Amazon launched application stores of their own App Store in January 3/2011. Since then Apple started suing this company.

Apple spokeswoman, Kristin Huguet said: "We feel no need to continue to pursue this litigation." "With more than 900 thousand apps and 50 billion downloads, customers know where they can buy your favorite applications."

Martin Glick, Amazon's lawyers in this case said in an interview: "This is a unilateral decision by Apple, and Amazon can continue to use App Store brand." "We want to continue to develop better App Store for users and developers," Mary Osako, Amazon spokesman said.
