According to the latest comScore report the results ended last May, Apple remains the top smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. with 39.2%, up 0.3% from the previous quarter, Samsung accounted for the 2nd place with 23%, up 1.7%.

In contrast to the growth of Samsung or Apple, although standing respectively at # 3, 4, 5, but HTC, Motorola and LG have negative growth. With 8.7%, HTC came in third place with 8.7%, down 0.6% from the previous quarter. Ally with HTC, Motorola also has a similar decrease, while 7.8%. No. 5 is LG with 6.7%, down 0.1%.

On the platform OS, Google's Android and Apple's iOS is still leading and second with 52.4% and 39.2%, 0.7% and 0.3% respectively. Despite standing at third, the BlackBerry mobile operating system is the largest decline in the top 5 with 0.6%. Microsoft's mobile platform and Nokia's Symbian has also decreased to 0.2% quarterly and 0.1% to 3% and 0.4% respectively.
Generally in the U.S., tend to opt for a smartphone instead of feature phones is increasing. Also the results of this study, comScore said there are 141 million Americans are using smartphones.
